Mattress Facts
Body impressions are normal on the surface of any new mattress whilst the upholstery filling is levelling to a final position and getting used to your body contours. This does not constitute a manufacturing fault.
On a non pillowtop mattress, up to 25mm height loss is considered normal and on a pillowtop mattress, up to 35mm height loss is considered normal. These indentations are typically caused by perspiration, continuous sleeping patterns, and the lack of rotation.
To minimize these impressions, always use a good quality mattress protector that is aired regularly, rotate your mattress consistantly and try to utilize the middle third of your mattress. Sounds strange, but that ridge in the middle of your old mattress is actually unused foams.
All of our Connoisseur Collection no longer requires the use of mesh above the spring as our sprint count has corrected the need for this product.

Base Facts
STB design our mattresses around the knowledge that most consumers purchase a frame of some description, but we must suggest that there are some important checks to make on choosing a correct base for your mattress. There are important tips to know when considering a slat base to compliment your mattress. Correct mattress support is an important element in providing long life for the mattress. Mattresses always follow the contour of whatever they rest on. If placed on any base that dips down, even under the load of one or two sleepers, the guarantee may be voided. Also, as strange as it sounds, check to make sure your floor is even, this will guarantee your base stays in perfect condition. Bases dipping or sagging allow the mattress to sag. Sleepers may experience roll together through inadequate support. Some rod or mesh type bases may require a centre rail and a leg to the floor to prevent dipping or sagging, particularly in double, queen and king sized frames. Timber slats must be a smooth finish ,but a breathable slat mattress protector over the slats is very beneficial. Slats must be no more than 13cm apart and at least 8.5cm wide. A base that is too hard, too soft, not supportive, or restricts air circulation may damage your mattress and void this guarantee. We recommend a specially designed matching STB base to cover all warranty situations. Please question your sales representative to make sure your base will cover our guarantee specifications.

Spring Designs
Presently STB have produced 5 styles of springs over the past 2 years for their mattress range. Why 5?, well to remain innovative you have to keep redesigning, never settle for second best and keep lifting the bar of standards to keep everyone satisfied. The bedding industry can give you a lot of challenges, but a great deal of satisfaction when your customers love your restructure committments.
The Posture5 spring was our first design, standard 5 turn bonnell spring, giving that common innerspring feel that most people recognise. We decided to give people what they were used to in this model, but we quickly decided we wanted to offer more.
The Posture5 Plus spring, was our upgraded model, Edge support through a strong gauge wire system, we wanted to give people a stronger edge, but the ability to know the edge wasn't aggressively hard so our customers long term wouldn't struggle from a "Roll In syndrome".
The SpineTech6 spring, is becoming STBs' flagship spring of preference, as it offers a Computer Designed solid spring system, that most of our opposition either don't have the technology to design well from, or cant afford the costs to manufacture it.
The SpineTech6 Premium, our newest development for our top end mattress designs, extremely high spring count, Solid Edge, Computer Designed, no roll in or out. We chose this spring to give our customers knowledge that if you are spending a considerable amount of money of a mattress, you shouldn't be supplied with a basic spring system.
Future spring designs...coming soon
Watch out for our Pocket Springs, and LFK spring arriving soon.
You can count on our word, we will keep offering the highest designs to reach the highest standards that ALLl customers deserve. |
